The Cakeroom is one of my favorite places in DC for a sweet fix. The cakes are always delicious, the decor's charming, and if I could just figure out how to turn sugar into muscle I'd be here every frigging day. I love the carrot cake-- sumptuous and rich, but not too sweet-- and the espresso cookies are bang on the money.
