Hey all, having an odd overheating issue after replacing the radiator, a little backstory: Recently replaced thermostat and fan clutch due to overheating maybe a year ago. A week ago i replaced the water pump, new radiator cap, upper and lower hoses, coolant refresh., One common cause of white exhaust smoke in your Jeep Wrangler is a coolant leak. This issue may be due to a blown head gasket or cracked engine head. Coolant leaks can lead to a rough, choppy idle and reduced engine power. When coolant leaks into the oil system, it diminishes the oil's lubricating ability, which can damage your engine., Malfunctioning Water Pump. Another issue that can cause your Jeep Wrangler to overheat is a malfunction of the water pump. Since the water pump is the mechanism that controls the cooling system, when it becomes damaged, your engine can overheat. Since the water pump controls the coolant, the flow is affected when something goes wrong with the pump., BUT -- before replacing it - try this - find the sensor, unplug the connector (up top, back of the engine, 2 wires) - spray the connector with a good electrical cleaner, then plug it back in.
