How to update games on rpcs3

I want to delete and re-install the game to see if it will fix the issue. However, I already have 42 hours on the game, and I don't want to lose all of that data. Is there a way to delete and re-install it while still keeping that data? Update: so I recently updated rpcs3, and the hdd boot file issue was fixed. However, I have a new problem.
