FF3 is my favourite, and a lot of your criticisms are reasons I love it. The penalty for job systems is quite minor, I'm surprised you find it a significant detriment. It was the first game to introduce the job system, so I think it can be given a break for not having the best implementation. Either way, I think it holds up.
