For titan and hunter (logged into each one at the enclave) they just say "pattern not unlocked" but my warlock is able to craft his. The other ones drop from wellspring. You unlock the other patterns in Wellspring.

It took me 3 weeks of grinding Master Wellspring to get the exotic warlock glaive to drop, the hunter one took about 2 hours, it's rng and that's all it is. Awful and weapon crafting blows. The initial Glaive quest is account wide. Once it's complete you can craft one of the three exotic glaives. The other two patterns are added to the Wellspring loot pool.
