I am having intermittent starting problems with my 2000 dodge durango (5.9 liter 4wd). When the key is turned it will sometimes just make a clicking noise and other times it just wont do anything. Simply try the ideal starting procedure (<5 seconds crank), pull a spark plug and check for fuel. If the plug is wet then you have fuel but either no spark or no compression.

We took it into the dealer when it was under the bumper to bumper 36k warranty they said it was to do with the security system and key fobs.
