Purchased a blue label 43x mos about a month ago along with a G45. It's been a decade since I had purchased a Glock and really didn't look at any in the counter or handle any for more than 30 seconds to confirm what I wanted. Seeing a lot of 43x posts lately, and figured I'd give a little review for anyone that is considering a 43x or similar sub-compact for EDC. I have about 4K rounds through it, give or take 50 or so. I have loved this gun. I had the original 43x but the MOS gave me the courage to go to the dot. Not one malfunction in ~4000 rounds!

Honestly, I think most people would have trouble telling them apart, and I think I'd need a timer and a lot of runs to really quantify any difference. The "43L" feels notably better than the regular 43--almost as good as the 43x.
