The use of LTE in some major cities ensures good Internet speed for Alaskans. Verizon claims that the 4G LTE wireless broadband is able to handle download speeds of 5-12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2-5 Mbps. The company also claims that the peak download can hit the 50 Mbps mark., No problem with ATT coverage in the cities. On board I keep mine turned off. I really don't need to forget and answer at Cellular at sea prices (actually IIRC ATT doesn't participate on Princess still the practice is a good one while at sea phone off I would rather someone pay $7.99 a minute for a true emergency than my phone ring because some friend forgot I was out of town . . .)
