I know I have the exact amount of fluid,, but when I measure the inches a fluid I am nowhere near the correct amount.Which is 125 mm or 4.9 in on the C model. My thinking is I should go with the …

Do this with the bike on its side stand on level pavement, garage floor, etc. Put a pan under the final drive, remove both the oil filler cap and the oil drain bolt.
